The Wealth Management Process
All wealth is personal and our financial consultants
take particular care to understand what matters most
to each of our clients. This involves understanding
your entire financial situation and defining your expected
return objectives, risk tolerance and liquidity needs.
Together the clients, we then decide whether to invest
directly in individual securities, use mutual funds
or hire a professional manager. We also continuously
monitor the market situation and periodically review
the chosen investment strategy with each client which
enables us to make adjustments if needed.
Providing investment advice is more than just picking
stocks because several studies have shown that selecting
the appropriate asset allocation strategy is the key
determinant to overall long term investment performance.
Therefore, as a first step, our financial consultant
develops an appropriate asset allocation strategy for
the client. By using our in depth knowledge of investment
instruments and their return-risk profile, we determine
what proportion of the investment portfolio to allocate
to each available asset class including stocks, bonds,
commodities, property, mutual funds and cash. First
then will we decide with the client what specific individual
securities to invest in. By spreading your investments
over different asset classes and individual securities,
we can reduce volatility and the risk of loss in the
investment portfolio by taking advantage of the fact
that these asset types normally do not gain or loose
value at the same time.
